Ballantyne, S.  2006.  Bird diversity in Nyassang Forest Park, The Gambia.   Malimbus 28:134-142.  (Graeme Kerr Bldg., Univ. Glasgow, Glasgow G12 8QQ, Scotland <0204039b"at"student.gla.ac.uk>.)—Reports a study made during 6 weeks in the wet season 2005 in 5 habitats, with diversity in each based on projections of 16 lists of the first 8 different species identified.  There is no mention of the method of identifying vocalisations and, unless this was good, species less visually conspicuous would tend to be missed, making the diversity estimates low.
